What time do I need to arrive?
The experience begins promptly at 7pm so we urge you to arrive from 6.30pm when the doors to the reception area will be open. You will be offered a glass of bubbly on arrival while you wait for your party to arrive. On arrival we will ask you to leave your bags and phones in our luggage storage area, and we will return them to you after the experience is over.
What should I wear?
For the first hour you will be moving quickly around the hotel, going up and down stairs so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. We recommend trainers or flat shoes. High heels and bare feet are not permitted during the activity. After the experience you will have a chance to change for dinner if you want to get dressed up!
What should I bring?
  • An overnight bag
  • An extra towel for use in the spa if you need one
  • Card for the bar
  • Your A game for solving puzzles!
Is the experience scary?
Not at all! Think fun, Crystal Maze style puzzles while you race around the hotel in teams.
What happens if we don’t win?
Don’t worry, you still get to stay overnight and enjoy the hotel!
What time is dinner?
Our 3 course dinner is served at 8.30pm.
Can we decorate the hotel before our arrival at 6.30pm?
Due to the nature of the hotel and the experience, we do not allow guests access to the hotel to decorate prior to arrival at 6.30pm. You are of course very welcome to book a balloon/decoration artist to provide this service for you. Details of local businesses who offer this service will be provided within your booking confirmation email.
What do we do after dinner?
This is your time to relax and spend time together with friends, family or colleagues. With a late night bar and a private bartender to serve drinks throughout the evening. We have a hot tub and sauna in our spa area which you are free to use until the bartender leaves. There is a fireplace, Smart TV, and sound system in the main living area for your enjoyment.
What time is check out the next day?
Check out is by 12pm the following day.
Are children allowed?
Suitable for children aged 12 and above.
What happens if one of my party arrives late?
The experience begins strictly at 7pm so if you are late arriving you will miss the start of the experience. You will need to contact us on the number provided on booking to be let in to join your group.
Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately the hotel is not wheelchair accessible and all of the bedrooms are on the second and third floors.
One of the members of my party is elderly, can they still take part in the experience?
There are several flights of stairs in the hotel, so if you have someone in your group with mobility issues they are welcome to just do the parts of the experience that they can manage. They will be able to enjoy all other aspects of your stay in full, as long as they can manage the stairs up to their bedroom.
Is there parking available at The Hotel?
We have space for 20 cars in our free private car park behind the hotel.
Which bedroom should we allocate to the guest of honour?
We recommend bedroom 1 being allocated to the guest of honour, however if a double bed is preferred we recommend bedroom 2. Photographs of the bedrooms can be found over on the ‘rooms’ tab on our website.
